【摘要】:Methodfordeterminationofthetitre;thisisexpressedconventionallyaspercentagesbymassofNaOH,a)astotalalkalinityandb)ascausticalkalinity,correspondingtothetotalalkalinitylessthealkalinityduetocarbonates.Theprincipleconsistsintitrationofthetotalalkalinitywithstandardvolumetrichydrochloricacidsolutioninthepresenceofmethylorangeasindicator.Calculationofthetwoamountsa)andb).ThemassofcarbondioxideisdeterminedbythemethodspecifiedinISO3196.ThismethodhasalsobeenapprovedbytheIUPAC.-CancelsandreplacesISORecommendationR979-1969ofwhichitconstitutesatechnicalrevision.
