【摘要】:Thetestmethodgenerallywilldistinguishcoolantsthathaveatendencytofoamexcessivelyfromthosethataresuitableforfurtherevaluationtodetermineperformanceinactualservice.Note18212;Inuse,thefoamingtendencyofacoolantsolutionmaybeincreasedbyserviceagingorcontamination.Aproperlyfunctioningpressurecapwilltendtosuppressfoamingincoolantsolutions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversasimpleglasswaretestforevaluatingthetendencyofenginecoolantstofoamunderlaboratory-controlled-conditionsofaerationandtemperature.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see7.2and7.4.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareapproximateequivalentsprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.
