【摘要】:Thisstandardisintendedforusebydesignersandcontractorstoassistinunderstandingtheimportanceofproperinstallationofarticulatingconcreteblockrevetmentsystemsinordertoachievesuitablehydraulicperformanceandmaintainstabilityagainsttheerosiveforceofflowingwater.Anarticulatingconcreteblocksystemiscomprisedofamatrixofindividualconcreteblocksplacedtogethertoformanerosion-resistantoverlaywithspecifichydraulicperformancecharacteristics.Thesystemincludesageotextileunderlaycompatiblewiththesubsoilthatallowshydraulicinfiltrationandexfiltrationtooccurwhileprovidingparticleretention.Theblockswithinthematrixshallbedenseanddurableandthematrixshallbeflexibleandporous.Articulatingconcreteblocksystemsareusedtoprovideerosionprotectiontounderlyingsoilmaterialsfromtheforcesofflowingwater.Thetermx201C;articulating,x201D;asusedinthisstandard,impliestheabilityofindividualblocksofthesystemtoconformtochangesinthesubgradewhileremaininginterconnectedbyvirtueofblockinterlockand/oradditionalsystemcomponentssuchascables,ropes,geotextiles,orgeogrids.Thedefinitionofarticulatingconcreteblocksystemsdoesnotdistinguishbetweeninterlockingandnon-interlockingblockgeometries,betweencable-tiedandnon-cable-tiedsystems,betweenvegetatedandnon-vegetatedsystemsorbetweenmethodsofmanufacturingorplacement.Furthermore,thedefinitiondoesnotrestrictorlimittheblocksize,shape,strength,orlongevity;however,guidelinesandrecommendationsregardingthesefactorsareincorporatedintothisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotspecifysizerestrictionsforindividualblockunits.Blocksystemsareavailableineitheropen-cellorclosed-cellvarieties.Theinstallationofarticulatedconcreteblocksystemsshallbeperformedsoastomaintainintimatecontactbetweentheblocks,thegeotextilefilterandthesubgradethatthesystemisintendedtoprotect.1.1Thepurposeofthisstandardistoproviderecommendedguidelinesfortheproperinstallationofarticulatingconcreteblock(ACB)revetmentsystems.1.2Thispracticeoffersasetofinstructionsforperformingoneormorespecificoperations.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthispracticemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacestandardofcarebywhichadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationsofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Thewordx201C;standardx201D;inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
