【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasurestheinitialfiltrationefficiencyofmaterialsusedinmedicalfacemasksbysamplingrepresentativevolumesoftheupstreamanddownstreamlatexaerosolconcentrationsinacontrolledairflowchamber.Thistestmethodprovidesspecifictesttechniquesforbothmanufacturersanduserstoevaluatematerialswhenexposedtoaerosolparticlesizesbetween0.1and5.0x03BC;m.5.2.1Thistestmethodestablishesabasisofefficiencycomparisonbetweenmedicalfacemaskmaterials.5.2.2Thistestmethoddoesnotestablishacomprehensivecharacterizationofthemedicalfacemaskmaterialforaspecificprotectiveapplication.Thistestmethoddoesnotassesstheoveralleffectivenessofmedicalfacemasksinpreventingtheinwardleakageofharmfulparticles.5.3.1Thedesignofthemedicalfacemaskandtheintegrityofthesealofthemedicalfacemasktothewearer’facearenotevaluatedinthistest.Thistestmethodisnotsuitableforevaluatingmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothingfordeterminingtheireffectivenessagainstparticulatehazards.5.4.1Ingeneral,clothingdesignisasignificantfactor,whichmustbeconsideredinadditiontothepenetrationofpenetrationofparticulates.1.1Thistestmethodestablishesproceduresformeasuringtheinitialparticlefiltrationefficiencyofmaterialsusedinmedicalfacemasksusingmonodispersedaerosols.1.1.1Thistestmethodutilizeslightscatteringparticlecountinginthesizerangeof0.1to956;5.0mandairflowtestvelocitiesof0.5to25cm/s.1.2Thetestproceduremeasuresfiltrationefficiencybycomparingtheparticlecountinthefeedstream(upstream)tothatinthefiltrate(downstream).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
